- Showcased on Western North Carolina's local News 13.

- Showcased on the front page of the Asheville Citizen Times newspaper.

- Lead a cooking demonstration for caregivers at a Paralyzed Veterans of America event that was held at the Veteran's Hospital in Asheville,NC.

- Volunteered for Care Partners Rehabiliation Center Roll-A-Thon Fundraiser in Asheville,NC. Fundraiser was to raise money for the Spinal Cord Injury Support Group.

- Lead a holiday cookie decorating demonstration at a local nursing home.

- Became an annual demonstrator/guest speaker for a Physical Therapy class at Asheville, North Carolina's South College.

- Wrote a guest blog post on brainandspinalcord.org.

- Became the Official online Chef for Fight Pink, a non profit charitable organization for women fighting breast cancer, survivors, caregivers, friends and family.

- Actively involved in the Adaptive Sports and Adventures Program in Charlotte,NC. (ie: water skiing, snow skiing, kayaking, hand cycling, tennis, etc.)

- Chosen as a patient success story for the Carolina's Institute of Rehabilitation website.

- Became a member of the Spinal Cord Injury Team through Carolina's Institute of Rehabilitation Center in Charlotte,NC.

- Became an annual guest speaker at Western North Carolina University for a Recreational Therapy class.

- Attended a Spinal Cord Injury Conference held at Mission Hospital for all specialists in SCI's and spoke about the lack of resources in the Asheville area for the injured.

- Went through training courses to become a peer mentor for the newly injured patients at Carolina's Institute of Rehabilitation and also Levine Children's Hospital.

-Featured on the front page brochure for a Carolina's Institute of Rehabilitation SCI Conference.

-Featured in an article for the USA Water Ski Magazine.

- Starred in a video made for the patients and families at Levine Children's Hospital demonstrating different transfers and techniques for wheelchair mobility.

- Discussed life after spinal cord injury via Skype to an Occupational Therapy class.

- Featured in the Friday November 26, 2012 Lake Norman News, The Charlotte Observer
