Ginger Steak Salad




Ingredients for steak marinade:

2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon sherry
2 garlic cloves, minced or buy already minced garlic
1/2 jalapeno De-seeded
2 teaspoon brown sugar
1 NY strip

Prep:

-mince garlic or buy and place in large zip-loc baggy



-de-seed jalapeno and add to baggy



-add soy sauce, sherry and brown sugar to baggy with steak



-marinate for 30 minutes up to 2 hours

Ingredients for salad dressing:

2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons white sugar
1 tablespoon lime juice
2 garlic gloves minced or buy already minced
1 tablespoon fresh minced ginger
1 bunch green onions (used to top salad)

-mince garlic and add to empty bowl



-skin ginger and mince
-add to bowl with garlic



-juice lime
-add to bowl




-add olive oil, soy sauce, and sugar



-stir and place in fridge



-once meat has marinated, heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in hot skillet and cook meat to your desired temperature



-mix some of the dressing into the salad greens



-cut tomatoes



-cut green onions and set aside



-place salad greens on plate with tomatoes
-slice steak to put on salad
-top with green onions



-plate and serve

    And...I didn't find the heart, but I laughed OUT LOUD at the limes & jalepeno!! :)

  3. Yum! So many of PW's recipes look amazing...I have just never tried any. It's so funny that you said that about the heart at the end because as I was looking at the finished shot, I thought, "That green onion is in the shape of a heart!" :)

  4. Yum!! Can you come and cook a dinner for me?? I mean, why would I want to go to all the work of doing this and it MAYBE tasting as good as yours? :) So, it makes sense to me that I hire you to do a dinner party for me?? Looks delicious!
